What is the hiring process like at Cimpress?

      Cimpress reviews

      Extremely Unprofessional company

      Software engineer
      Current intern
      Bengaluru
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

No pros, except that it was remote work, which was good

      Cons

I joined this remote-first company with high hopes. The work culture initially seemed collaborative, and I built strong relationships with my team. I took initiative, worked hard, and made a conscious effort to understand the company and its operations. From the beginning, we were told that full-time conversion would be based on performance. However, despite consistently positive feedback and demonstrated commitment, we were informed, just 2 weeks before the internship’s end—that conversion wouldn't happen due to "budget constraints." This change in narrative felt disingenuous. If hiring full-time wasn’t feasible, that should have been communicated upfront and earlier on, not at the last minute just because interns can be taken for granted as there is no such thing as a notice period for us. What’s especially frustrating is that the expectations set during onboarding were never aligned with the final outcome. It feels unfair to push interns to perform with the hope of conversion, only to later claim it's based on “business needs” with no prior indication. In a tough job market with widespread hiring freezes, this lack of transparency has left many of us scrambling. I hope the company reflects on how it treats early-career talent and communicates more openly going forward.

Poor Recruter doesn't know anything about graphic design and thinks we're divine.

      Pros

Greetings, I am a former Cimpress employee. As of right now, I have worked as a graphic designer for more than 12 years. A month ago, I considered reapplying, but they took my test and rejected me in the second round, which is huge, and now they told me I wasn't qualified. The moral of the story is that although the person who worked for Cimpress India in the previous year received numerous emails of appreciation, they are no longer eligible for those who have more than 12 years of experience. I ask you to review my test file with the HR department once more, but they are unable to understand and are only focused on the fact that we are right and you are wrong. Because the people requirement team and the selection process lack any graphic-related knowledge, they are unable to determine whether a candidate is qualified; instead, they believe that the QC person is divine and that we are not acting humanely. This makes them pathetic. There is no overall experience. The past is superior to the present. Much obliged!

      Cons

HR section is very poor. Even our municipal corporation work better than this.

      Pros

Im filling this field because its mandatory, otherwise no feedback.

      Cons

I would like to express my deep disappointment with the way Cimpress handled my interview process. Over the past three weeks, I went through three rounds of interviews—including one onsite face-to-face round. This not only built up my hopes but also required me to take time off from my current job (LOP) just to attend the interviews. After all this effort, I was told that I don’t have enough experience as a Product Specialist. This was extremely frustrating because the role I applied and interviewed for was clearly that of a Graphic Designer. I even mentioned during the process that I am open to learning and adapting, yet the feedback I received was irrelevant to the role in question. My simple question is: if you were only looking for someone with Product Specialist experience, why did you spend weeks interviewing me for a Graphic Designer position? This kind of mismanagement wastes everyone’s time, energy, and resources and leaves candidates with a very poor impression of the company.
