Unclear career growth and product challenges

      Sales development representative (sdr)

      Pros

Recognizable brand name within the tech industry Some team members are supportive and collaborative

      Cons

Career advancement paths are unclear, and promotions don’t always appear to be based on performance. Internal communication and transparency need improvement. The product has fallen behind competitors in functionality and innovation, and feedback from the sales team isn’t consistently implemented, which affects morale and overall effectiveness.

      Pros

      - Fully remote work environment - Competitive compensation - Flexible PTO policy (though this has become more restrictive depending on the manager)

      Cons

      - Career advancement is limited unless you're in the inner circle or among management favorites - Outdated management practices and systems that resist change - Instances of poor communication and questionable leadership behavior, including gaslighting - Company values were once core to the culture but now seem largely ignored or forgotten This company had a lot of potential and once fostered a strong, values-driven culture. Unfortunately, leadership changes and shifting priorities have eroded much of that foundation. It’s becoming harder to trust in the direction or transparency of management, and opportunities for growth feel increasingly political. If leadership doesn’t course-correct soon, the gap between what the company says and what it actually does will continue to widen.

Too much politics but not enough respect

      Business Outlook

      Pros

The people you work are generally helpful

      Cons

This company lacks professionalism and respect for employees. A lot of people in charge were arrogant for no reason. It got tiring sitting through meetings where managers talked themselves up while employees were left dealing with stress and confusion. The horrible office politics made things worse because it seemed like being close to leadership mattered more than actually doing good work. People stopped speaking openly since feedback usually went nowhere or somehow got turned against you later. Why even try to stand out when favoritism decides everything anyway. Morale was low across almost every team, and you could tell a lot of employees were mentally checked out already. Conversations around the office started sounding forced because nobody really trusted each other anymore. One thing that really stood out was how disconnected leadership seemed from what employees were actually dealing with. Problems and concerns were brought out during meetings, and somehow the conversation always got redirected into corporate talk that solved nothing. A lot of employees ended up keeping their opinions to themselves because nobody wanted extra attention from management. The fake positivity around the office made everything more exhausting too, especially when everyone clearly knew morale was horrible. Even team events and group calls started feeling uncomfortable because there was always this pressure to act impressed by leadership no matter what was happening behind the scenes. The stressful part was watching hard workers slowly stop caring because their effort never really changed anything. Some employees handled extra tasks, yet the people getting recognition were usually the loudest ones in the room. There was also a strange amount of gossip and passive aggressive attitudes between teams, which made simple projects harder than they needed to be. Managers would talk about transparency, but important decisions were always hidden until the last second. A lot of people started leaving quietly, and nobody seemed surprised anymore when another resignation popped up. The company had smart and talented employees, but the culture made it difficult for people to stay motivated for long.

      Pros

      Fully remote, solid brand recognition

      Cons

As someone who was with the company for 4+ years I can say this went from one of the best places I've ever worked to one of the worst. The product has always been lacking and product and eng has never invested in tools to help customers see value and retain such as user dashboards to track performance/ROI and things like that. Leadership seems to care more about making analytics happy and how the "pro" self serve product is doing than the actual total revenue of the company. Pro has been cannabalizing the value of the data for YEARS since in theory you could export the whole data set for $588/year. Meanwhile - sales and CS is trying to get people to buy the product for upwards of $50k/year. DESPITE these problems - it was still a great place to work for a while because the team was great, trustworthy, and constantly helping each other and the team succeed. Fast forward to now - all the "OGs" are gone and being replaced with people with no cares about employees as human beings. Shady behavior, restructures, and the people team being the least trustworthy of them all makes this a scary place to be.

Promising Product, but Major Cultural and Management Issues

      Business Outlook

      Pros

      - CEO (Jager) and Nick in Enablement are genuine standouts - Product is solid within its niche and industry-accurate - Coworkers were supportive and shared similar concerns - Opportunity to learn how to operate in a true startup environment - Some flexibility depending on your role - Remote Work - Competitive OTE - Potential with Green Space Territory

      Cons

      - Leadership gaps: disengaged managers, lack of communication, and defensive posture - Toxic culture where questions, feedback, and healthy pushback aren’t welcomed - Widespread favoritism in territories, lead distribution, and recognition - Leadership's inability to create and read CRM reporting - Technical skill gaps - Work being done elsewhere as a workaround - Deals and accounts moved behind the scenes, creating an uneven playing field - Weak onboarding and mentors assigned without proper support - Misalignment and tension between account management and sales - Frequent major changes with little to no communication - No one is modeling or demonstrating what successful performance looks like relative to expectations - Not a professional environment; lacks transparency, consistency, and leadership accountability

Nice people to work alongside - coworkers care about one another and make efforts to build lasting relationships Interesting product with lots of brand recognition Good pay and benefits! Lots of perks Opportunity to try new things and expand your skills especially if you're willing to take initiative or share your ideas. Fully remote with office locations in SF and NY - meet about twice a year as a full company in-person

      Cons

      At times direction will shift

      Best company I've worked at

      Sales manager
      Current employee

      Business Outlook

      Pros

People driven, transparent leadership, remote first, forward thinking. I've been here for nearly 4 years, which should say a lot. I've always appreciated the executives, past and present. They're honest and open, and offers to answer any question someone from the company might have (on the spot too) They focus on keeping employees happy with benefits such as Mental Health Mondays (so valuable beyond words) and No Meeting Thursdays. Working cross-functionally is so easy cause everyone is easy going yet so passionate about this company and what they do. The product is so valuable and they're finding ways to stay one step ahead of the market to continue driving value.

      Cons

Adapting to the major market changes in order to stay ahead requires working in a fast paced environment. The brand recognition might be misleading for some people, as it is truly a start up that requires you to be adaptable and resourceful. If you're looking for processes already in place or require a lot of direction, this is not the company for you.
