What are perks and other benefits like at Fortis Games?

      Fortis Games reviews

      Amazing games and culture

      Unity engineer

      Business Outlook

      Pros

      - High Salary - Remote First - Amazing Culture - On-sites all over the world to meet the remote team - Lot of in house events - Gifts - Good benefits and Heathcare Plan

      Cons

      - No game published yet - Still with some start-up issues

      For now, an amazing experience

      Sr game engineer
      Current employee

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Great salary, respectful and very experienced team, lots of space to deploy industry-standard solutions and to also create new stuff. Very result-driven and somewhat fun people. Lots of great tools are being used and the language choices and architecture of the games are pretty much on-spot. There are always things to improve but overall the code is easy to navigate and add to.

      Cons

Leadership is weird and somewhat far but I have experienced much worse in the past. There's also this feeling that Sr. Engineers are going to start giving out orders because of their seniority, as team leaders do sometimes, but for now, I have only experienced people who usually listen and suggest, instead of command. Myself, while being senior, didn't find anyone to be too reliant on their role to suggest a solution. The current Brazilian health benefits are very bad. All of the services are based in Londrina and there are very few good options for health care and dental care in other states. Health care is the special culprit here for it's the worst among all benefits. Also, the payment for the home-office benefit is weird. Home office stuff is paid every 3 months.

      Pros

This is by far the best job I have ever had. The people here are top notch and the work, while difficult at times, has true tangible results that offer a benefit of inclusion I have not seen anywhere.

      Cons

I have nothing bad to say about this company.

      Business Outlook

      Pros

      - High compensation - Strong talent - Good benefits - Build games

      Cons

      - Lack of traction/results - Big/corporate - Murky strategy - Mobile games is a tough market

      Pros

Learn new things, great manager, ok salary, ok benefits

      Cons

Demanding, very stresful at times, micro management from lead if you get unlucky lead

Culture that only cares about themselves

      Business Outlook

      Pros

      - remote - pay - okay benefits

      Cons

      - fake company culture that is being shoved down your throat. Everything sounds nice on paper, but nothing is being done to go about it - feel no support or unity between anyone there. Everyone is looking out for themselves - toxic leadership - super corporate
