Market leadership can be lost if they don’t fix things

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Good pay, good “profit share” bonus if it’s a good year. (Although I am told this year’s bonus is just so-so, maybe because of all the tech issues.) Allows 3x work from home.

      Cons

Very demanding work load with little assistance when you are new. It’s also obvious - they say it - that a lot of people are only staying because of the good pay, not because of the company mission. They are losing their edge because of this, plus they are just getting senior leaders from the mother telco who don’t know anything about fintech. It’s not very inspiring as some might think, just mission-less work and work and work. They have a weird promotion system, it doesn’t seem to have rules, just depends on who the leaders know and not the actual contribution of the person. Before I resigned this person who made a lot of problems with the product and is just getting into extramarital affairs just got promoted. He’s a favorite of senior leaders for whatever reason, and it made a lot of people uncomfortable and doubt the company, like he got rewarded for being a bad leader.

      Pros

coworkers are nice, helpful, and behave absolutely professional. great benefits, nice salary package especially if you have good performance rating. HR has lots of programs that benefit the employees. macbook pros are standard for the solution delivery team, non-tech folks get macbook airs. decent internal documentations - integrated with chat gpt, which makes it helpful for new joiners. hybrid but nobody cares if you dont show up in the office at all. career movement is often encourage - people from a vastly different role are often given opportunities to try new things.

      Cons

heavy workload, no time to breath - you must be able to juggle multiple projects and teams, prepare to organize your tasks and prioritize meetings whenever two or three overlap. too much process that probably got introduced to mitigate previous security concerns.

      Pros

Good pay and bonuses are generous

      Cons

System is very crude, a lot of things are manual. System fix are not prioritized. Launching products or initiatives just for the sake of launching without fixing the back end first.

Not recommended for work life balance

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Good pay Good benefits On-time pay

      Cons

Manager is not a leader. Only talks to the people it likes and not inclusive of the whole team. Instead of talking directly to its members, one or two members will get the memo/task and will talk to the rest of the members; politics inside of this "smaller team" is rampant. Manager doesn't check on you about your well-being, no 1:1s even though the company mandates this. No established onboarding process. Guides for each tasks are given by word of mouth. There is no proper documentation. Information is not well distributed in this team. Either they hold it hostage so that they will have job security or so that people will come to them whenever they need help. Failures will or might be used against you, so you must be perfect at all times. They require RTO now for 3 days a week so if you're far away from the office, you might have a hard time.
