What are perks and other benefits like at Gavin de Becker & Associates?

The company cares for all of the Associates working here. There are lots of great benefits and perks offered on a regular bases. The leadership team is strong, professional, and they lead by example. I learn something new every day.

GDBA is a great company with good benefits and interesting work - if you are interested in security and threat assessment.

They have a decent reputation and the ability to provide decent training.

They require an absurd amount of information for their application process. The same information is requested multiple times from different people because they don't communicate with each other. They expect you to attend their two week training program that they don't prepare you for, that is completely disorganized, and then without reason, they will send people home just before graduation. It's worse than a military recruiter that tells you what you want to hear. They will straight up be deceitful with all sorts of promises about a job offer, work hours, and pay and then offer you a very low ball offer with a ton of fine print and make you basically sign your life away with contract after contract after contract. Look elsewhere and save yourself the time, money, and headaches. The benefits are bragged about by management but there is so much small print and it's a joke. The "retirement" plan is a 401K that GDBA is kind enough to match UP TO $750 per YEAR towards. How do they take that seriously?

Great benefits and monthly travel reimbursements.

GDBA is hyper focused on the needs of client so much so that you rarely are doing security work and more of an armed butler. They recruit high caliber individuals and assign them to a job an Asset Protection officer at Target should be doing. You have to do a mandatory program for many months that educates you on the history of Gavin De Becker. If you want to take your combat vet, operator, MMA, or law enforcement background to the private security industry... this is not the one.
