What are perks and other benefits like at Hyundai Mobis?

Hyundai Mobis offers a fantastic work environment with ample opportunities for growth in the software engineering field. The company is actively investing in cutting-edge technologies, such as autonomous driving and EV systems, which creates an exciting environment for engineers who want to work on impactful and future-oriented projects. Additionally, the work-life balance and benefits are competitive and ensure that I can focus on both my career and personal development.

As with any large organization, there can sometimes be bureaucratic hurdles that slow down the pace of project progress. Decision-making can be a bit slow due to multiple layers of management, and communication between departments can be challenging at times. While the resources for technical development are excellent, streamlining project workflows and reducing administrative processes could enhance overall efficiency.

People are great to work with

Management is very disorganized, benefits are high, and no pay scale. Some team members are making the same amount as a team leader

Pay and Benefits are very competitive, and they have good flexible working hours/hybrid approach (for non security critical groups).

HR issues of being very anti-employee. Pay raises and annual bonuses were delayed 2+months with no justification other than "yet to be approved by corporate, maybe next pay cycle" after pay statements went out without any changes. Employees are terminated immediately and escorted out of the building with no pay if they do the courtesy of putting in their two weeks notice, and unemployment claims for those two weeks get fought as Mobis listed reason for separation as employee voluntary resignation. HR and GA refuse to pay damages, inflicted to personal vehicles on official company business trips, and refuse to provide reason. Corporate structure and product information is way too Korea centric, North American engineers aren't trusted to be shown or handle their own company's confidential information, tools, or plans.

Nothing to discussThe salary is currently low, but the additional benefits are substantial, and improvements are expected after 2025.

The workplace environment seems heavily influenced by politics, leaving little room for personal or professional growth. Favoritism appears to dominate decision-making processes, and there is a noticeable lack of diversity, creating an unbalanced and potentially unfair atmosphere.

Absolutely no way to move up in the company. Extremely disorganized and no one listens to the employees.

Not trust in American employees to do the job they were given. Was given little work while working there. Tons of micromanagement which probably stemmed from little trust in American workers.

Good salary and benefits, was flexible during COVID period and it’s stable

Many cultural barriers, not fair with promoting people, prefer to look outside instead of promoting local. Promote people that are friends, not based on meritocracy
