What is the hiring process like at Lucid Motors?

Favoritism. They tend to be more flexible towards their own countrymen in the hiring process and everything. Office politics too prevalent to go unnoticed The CEO and directors are unaware of how things are going down and they are spun on finger-tips by employees directly reporting them. Unethical company practices. The employee's relatives and closer ones are favored over skilled and hard-working employees. 0 work-life balance.

Everyone on the working level is very dedicated and the hiring process is very selective so engineers are very smart.

Interview process was odd. Weeks passed by and after a month, they told me their new hire didn’t work out. Asked me to rejoin the process. Took another month because their hiring manger left the company. Finalist and didn’t receive an offer. All forecasts point to depleted funding and potential issues with the company staying afloat.

Benefits are ok for America.

Have to ask permission before using the bathroom. Will not pay you what is promised at the start. It takes about 3 months or longer to get a red lock, and getting your paperwork fully finished takes about as long. They will lie during orientation and change plans every week based on some executive's sudden decision. The manager may have experience but the supervisor may be brand new to both managing people and the company itself. Run, don't walk. Stay away from this company.

Great team Great leaders Continuous learning and development

Team shortage. Not hiring people with enough experience.

Innovative company, lots of public interest, decent hourly employees.

Training is bad because the tech is so new. Lots of blind leading the blind. Forgetful management, favoritism, micromanaging. CEO is very mean in person. A bit awkward but that understandable being he’s in charge. But still very mean especially if he’s having a bad day.

Pay and company events (too many) to break up the work for a breather. Lots of extremely talented and experienced people.

Cash burn. Incompetent management. Between talented people the rest are also just cruising along not caring. “That’s just how Lucid works”. “Not my job” mindset. In certain departments it’s been the same group of people and all new hires have left. They promote people that have nothing to show for. Your performance is not reflected in reviews, HR has the final say. Staying afloat only to investment money. People that should have gotten fired don’t. In fighting within management. Legit biggest ego contest I’ve ever seen.

Great learning opportunities for people in early career. Lots of career growth opportunities if you perform well. Most engineers are very knowledgeable, friendly and collaborative and willing to work as a team. SET team are usually bonded together well. I really enjoyed working with a lot of CFT team at Lucid.

Executive leadership is not competitive. Consistent priority shift. Lack of transparency to employees. Too many processes just for processes, need robust but efficient process.
