Awesome company, recent IPO, a lot of great benefits, competitive pay

Great benefits overshadowed by constant changes and inconsistency

      Pros

MNTN had a lot of great benefits.

      Cons

There was constant change without warning - everything from comp structure, job duties/titles, expectations etc. And without warning I mean from day to day, week to week, they lacked a lot of consistency.

Not Good For Your AdTech Career

      Pros

MNTN's platform is solid. It does what it's supposed to do well, it's constantly being updated and it's an industry leader. The benefits are cool. Honestly it was one of the better/best benefits packages I've had. The offsites are really well done and a lot of fun.

      Cons

It's transactional sales in a media world where relationships make or break your career. You WILL NOT form the relationships with brands and agencies that are critical for you to get your next job or excel in your next job. They want you to talk to a brand 3 times, close the deal, and move on and transfer the relationship away from you. Monthly goals - most media companies evaluate performance on a quarterly or annual basis. They also cut your commission off after a few months of your client running because they want you exclusively focused on new business. Leadership is bad. They aren't super friendly or open to feedback. They aren't in tune with the wants/desires of major Hold Co agencies and/or the big brands (actually they just ignore them). They are not open to creating a better business model that fits well in the CTV space for large advertisers. They're instead focused on the small brands. They discourage client entertainment so again you aren't going to be building industry relationships. It's an extremely cliquey business.

flexible schedule, great benefits and perks, wonderful people, interesting and impactful work, and the ability to work on some very cool products.

      Cons

leadership is always trying new initiatives, which can cause a lot of pivoting. but it is the consequence of a company trying to make big strides.

      Pros

I love that I get to work from home and be close to my family. Since starting in January, everyone I have had the chance to interact with has been nothing but nice and supportive. The tech stack is really good. You have more than enough tools to get the job done. The benefits are amazing!

      Cons

I have none so far. I just started.

At MNTN, we put AI first, full stop.. DO NOT LEAVE A JOB FOR MNTN!

      Pros

Remote first is the only pro. MNTN meets used to be good but now are tedious.

      Cons

Only corporate directive: IMPLEMENTING AI TO ELIMINATE PEOPLE! No job security as teams are eliminated regularly. New commission plan puts our earnings under market rate. Benefits are terrible and don't have good coverage. Employees being fired for needing paid family/medical leave. "unlimited PTO' but you can't really use it and guilt trip you if you try to use any time off.. so it is actually way worse than having actually having accrued PTO.
