      Pros

People seem to get along and collaborate together. The benefits are good and the pay is decent. The mission and vision are excellent and you feel like you are making a difference.

      Cons

Part of total pay package is Options and they're worth very little now with no salary increase. Executives micro manage at all levels. All of them. Very little decision making and they want to make all decisions. Some execs are really abrasive and honestly mean. No accountability becasue they're leaders. Extremely lean teams with work growing but no development, tech resources, or staffing offered. People are overwhelmed. On top of that there is a dictate to be strict about working from home, but on any given day half of the executive team is working from home. Really good people have left because of their hours long commute and dictates to be in office on Christmas Eve.

      Pros

Great pay, benefits, remote work-life balance, and opportunity to apply unique expertise in a new industry.

      Cons

My analytics role was not aligned to a team to maximize my expertise. Forced to work in a directorate that had no experience in the project management process, I was in a constant resource overload state. The workload demand exceeded my capacity where every project was a priority. I was often met with a response of needing to manage my time better, and work longer hours.

      Pros

people are genuinely passionate about what they do, benefits are great, IVF and egg freezing benefits, lots of learning on the job

      Cons

lots of micromanagement, company is extremely unorganized, poor communication amongst management/leadership, there is definitely a power hierarchy and if you work in member services, you are at the bottom of the totem pole

      Pros

      - Benefits are good, with Progyny benefit offered and parental leave - Fully remote jobs (getting rarer these days) or hybrid - Many talented and collegial colleagues

      Cons

      - Company is filled by hiring connections who are then protected, instead of promoting within - Promotions - or lack thereof - Clear favoritism that is well known and discussed amongst employees - Management, from middle management and up, is not great. The constantly shifting direction and overwork leave people here burnt out I'm not listing my department so leaders can speculate who wrote this as opposed to making any changes

      Pros

Most can work remote (mostly those outside NYC area).

      Cons

Progyny felt like a dream come true at first. For me, joining the team came with a pay bump, a slew of amazing benefits, great health insurance, and most importantly- room for growth. It’s now become a toxic workplace with unhealthy work-life balance, unrealistic expectations, and low morale. Progyny’s big thing was always offering “white glove service” to their members. Upper management expects PCA’s to be the face of the company and always ask for “our help” in making the member experience a SUPER STAR one. But on the flip side, they continuously micro-manage, fail in offering adequate support and staffing, and have unrealistic metric and QA expectations. They continue adding benefit offerings without having a team to fully support said programs, creating more work for already overwhelmed and burned out PCA’s. “Help is coming” they say which then takes 6+ months and ends up being contract workers who either quit due to lack of support or have no idea how to properly work as a PCA. Recently, they’ve given what seems like most of the long time PCA’s verbal warnings and write ups about call outs and call avoidance. Many of these instances, unfounded, or even completely unreasonable. Some PCA’s “fight” it and have these warnings removed from record but for most who no longer have the energy, it stays as is, which sets us up for failure and directly impacts bonuses, raises, and livelihoods. They’ve rebranded to a “contact center” but don’t be bamboozled- this is a call center. You will take back to back calls with no designated time to work the backlog of cases or emails that continuously grow.
