What is a typical working day like at Starling?

      Starling reviews

      Wonderful but difficult

      Business Outlook

      Pros

The support that is given by everyone, from your peers to management and HR. There is always a helping hand and you are always reminded that no question is a silly question.

      Cons

It is challenging to be able to move up in your department or move to a different team. Being able to get a response from different departments promptly regarding a customer's account when it is urgent is almost impossible. There is no way to call them, you just have to send a message on the ticket and hope to get a response quickly. It is very difficult to have work/life balance because of the shift work you have in customer service.

Completely changed from what it used to be

      Pros

nothing, everything that was positive to work for the company is being taken away No work life balance

      Cons

When decisions are made there is no talking to employees or any care on how it will impact the employees. Starling has lost what made it different to other banks and has come the same. It has become toxic, just micromanaging everywhere, constantly being questioned about everything you do. Understaffed and never replacing the people leaving, just being told to work harder. Low morale. More office attendance More weekend working Shift work More increase in responsibilities but no increase in pay No consideration for the employees and their lives, just told you have to do it else Massive focus on targets No bonuses
