      Pros

Brilliant company to work for. Work life balance and environment is next level to all other companies I’ve worked for. Salary is competitive but overtime availability is unreal. I almost double my wages is OT and bonuses every year. Company benefits are are even better from discounted gift cards to 24/7 free GP and salary sacrifice cars scheme.

      Cons

Basic salary could be improved. Technical/new product training could be improved.

      Pros

      - A great team of senior leaders who CARE about the employees and the work we do - Great company values that are embedded into our culture 'Push for better, Own it, Back each other and Think impact'. - Great work place benefits - AA breakdown cover, Eye care vouchers, free mental health support and GP services, gym memberships and an abundance of discounts for shopping, food and days out - Diverse and inclusive - There are various employee networks such as 'Pride' where The AA have attended several Pride events across the UK whilst supporting the LGBTQIA + community. As a gay man myself I feel very welcome here! - Great pay and bonus opportunities - Great progression opportunities and a push for internal progression - Great investment in staff experience and development - lots of learning courses available from experts in the industry and opportunities to learn new skills - An amazing office to work in! we have recently moved office and it is beautiful, the views are described as the hanging gardens of Babylon from the windows as you're working and the office is sleek, modern and light. - The people are great, there is a real passion for what we do and the culture is brilliant. - The charity work and social events are great and this helps the culture of the business as we are always thinking impact and giving back. Trying to improve the moral and look after each other.

      Cons

Lack of IT investment funding - we are always 'glass half full' and pushing for better and therefore our wish list is always extensive and unfortunately the budget is not unlimited.

Thank you for the fantastic 5‑star review and for being part of the AA family for over five years. It’s great to hear your experience reflects the culture we strive for, and we’re especially pleased you called out leaders who genuinely care, the progression and learning opportunities available, and the pride our people take in the work we do. We’re glad our benefits are making a difference—from AA Breakdown Cover and eye care to mental health support, GP services, gym memberships and wide-ranging discounts. It’s also brilliant to hear you feel our employee networks and Pride activity help create a welcoming, inclusive environment for everyone. On your point about IT investment: you’re right that wish lists can outpace budgets. We’re continuously prioritising the areas with the biggest colleague and customer impact, and your feedback is invaluable in shaping that roadmap. Please keep sharing specific needs through your usual channels so we can factor them in. Thanks again for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback—and for the passion you bring every day. Together we’ll keep pushing for better.

Worst place to work.. only commission based no basic

      Pros

      Can’t think of any tbh

      Cons

When you’re recruited as policy salesman they treat you special by paying a 2 night hotel stay in their training centre near Loughborough. After the class room- style training you come back to your place discovering a big parcel waiting for you with your uniform, hi vis, makeshift table and umbrella that you need to take long everyday when you go out at some retail park and supermarkets trying to sell breakdown covers. Not to forget you also get a company mobile. Enough to make you feel important right? Well wait,.. when you’re out trying to sell brakedown covers standing on your feet for over 6-7 hours you realise it’s not piece of cake as they make you believe during the training. You litterly have to beg shoppers to buy from you because you’re not paid hourly and there’s NO BASIC PAY at all, you only take home a commission you earned from every policy you managed to sell. That’s not all, at the end of the month you need to keep a track of how many policies you’ve sold and how much commission they owe you because they have a stinky habit of making UNFAIR DEDUCTION from the pennies you make. Seriously guys you’re better off doing a news round than selling brakedown covers for commission at the AA.

Great career path for someone looking to get out of the garage environment to see different situations and people every day. Some of the pros are start and finish at home address, good salary, can select different hours per year to suit everyone, And all equipment and tools provided.

      Cons

Shift work doesn’t work for everyone but getting roster 6 months ahead helps. Overtime available to increase earning if needed.
