      Tinuiti reviews

It was really great until it wasn’t

      Senior manager
      Former employee

      Business Outlook

      Pros

The culture, benefits, remote work, flexibility, management, pay were historically all great until the recent reorg orchestrated by the new president. There is still unlimited PTO.

      Cons

We were lied to by management since last fall 2023 that the coming “simplifi” reorg (rolled out April 2024) wouldn’t *significantly* change total comp pay. Then I was expected to accept a 30%+ salary cut due to changes in the commission structure, in addition to more work/clients, so I left. I genuinely enjoyed working here prior to this mess but it’s clear that the company is preparing to sell and the “great places to work” and “people first” rhetoric is now completely out the window in favor of the bottom line. Do NOT recommend coming to work here now.

Great benefits, but nonexistent work/life balance in senior roles

      Client partner
      Former employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

for an agency, Tinuiti can pay in the upper spectrum of what you’d expect, depending on what role you join the organization end. The benefits are pretty solid and healthcare coverage is good, they also offer wellness based benefits, including exercise stipend, and gift card redemption platforms that replenish each month. They do tout flexible work schedule, which is typically respected. There’s access to a ton of information and innovative thought leadership in the performance marketing landscape, and there are opportunities for continued learning if you have interest in a particular channel. There are some absolutely stellar leaders who want you to do amazing work and will support you through every step.

      Cons

Over the past year or so after one of the agencies largest reorg’s, the workload and expectation-setting with clients has been absolutely unbearable. You’re expected to pivot on a whim, and do whatever the client asks because the agency is terrified of churn. When I originally joined the organization a few years ago, the culture was incredibly strong and you were encouraged to join ERG’s and attend virtual and in-person culture events within your city. This was feasible because the agency felt like it was working for its employees - now it’s evident it’s working for its clients. At the point of my resignation, I barely had time to eat lunch, let alone participate in what was left of any culture-based activities. Despite there, being some incredible people at the leadership level, you will encounter individuals who will not support you, who will slowly break you down with micromanagement and not hear to you when you tell them that you are overwhelmed or overworked. My recommendation of Tinuiti would strictly depend on the role you’re applying for in the org that you would be working within. I know, former coworkers to absolutely love their jobs and others who were equally as miserable at the end as I was. Definitely do your research about the role you’re applying for through glassdoor or fishbowl and research the hiring team as much as possible.

      Toxic and sinking fast

      Pros

      Fully remote work from home

      Cons

Tinuiti really used to be such a great place to work. The people were great (albeit many still are), the benefits were good and the culture really was fresh and employee focused. I really felt lucky to work here. Unfortunately, as all the recent reviews state, this is no longer the case. Times got tough, as they did for many industries post COVID, and the wheels came off. The C suites lack of real world experience became very evident. Instead of bringing in folks who have actual experience outside of Tinuiti, they crowned themselves the smartest people alive and continued running full steam into a brick wall. Note - They did add a President in early 2023 who actually has many years of experience navigating agencies through change and hard times. However, hanging all hopes on 1 person proved to be a losing bet. The recent restructuring lead by said President was a disaster. Additionally, our CPO ran the once great culture into the ground and replaced it with a toxic mix of fear and instability. It's now a "cover your butt" culture where no one trusts each other and throwing people under any bus to save yourself is the standard. There is no transparency whatsoever. It's truly sad to see how things have ended up for Tinuiti, and the leadership only has themselves to blame.

Disorganized, Poor Leadership, Acquires Competition to Snuff Them Out

      Growth marketing product manager
      Current employee
      Recommend

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Good benefits, PTO, and remote policy. Light work if you're competent.

      Cons

No logical organizational structure, which makes it difficult for the company to perform and scale, which in turn leads to low morale, low pay, no bonuses, and an inability for ICs to grow within the org.

      Business Outlook

      Pros

the perks and benefits are good

      Cons

Leadership at the pod lead level and above has become disconnected and uninterested in addressing recurring problems. Employees are treated as disposable, burnout and turnover are accepted outcomes if it means cutting roles to improve margins on accounts already weighed down by horrible contract fees. We’ve strayed far from the days when we invested in interns and junior team members, giving them the growth and hands-on experience that created stronger pipelines and smoother transitions. Now, when someone leaves, responsibilities are dumped on the existing team, or the role is shifted to MX where retention appears even worse.
