Pros
20% staff discount, plus access to discounts and offers at other retail stores.
Most of the people at the store level are friendly, and can be great if you fit in with your team.
Cons
Pay is very low, they are only a few pence above minimum wage. They advertise about annual bonuses, but they haven't paid these out in years. No sick leave, and most stores have only the bare minimum of staff, so there's high pressure to come in if you're sick, or you'll often be pressured to do extra hours to cover others.
Poor communication. You'll be bombarded with emails, and constant updates, tasks and training from management, but somehow very little actual content.
The company talks a big game about valuing their staff, but there's very little meaningful action to back this up.
