What is working from home like at VITAC?

Block schedule instead of 9 to 5, offering freedom. I love freedom over guaranteed hours. Remote, work from home. It was perfect for my personal needs, although depending on who you ask, the pay wasn't that great. Sure I'd get $30 to $35 an hour, but in a year I only hit almost 30k total. 25-30k.

Laid off due to company being lazy. They've been downsizing once or twice a year and my time finally came on the chopping block. They weren't interested in re-training nor retaining employees. After training (they haven't hired since fall of 2021) you're on your own.

Work from home… schedule can be flexible

Too much to list, not a lot of work if you aren’t high rated. Ask you to work more hours than they even have. Lots of unpaid time required to prep. AI will be taking over soon

Low pay with no raises No real benefits aside from basic health insurance

Work from home; can choose your own schedule; health insurance if you're full-time; lots of smart, cool people as your coworkers. You learn a lot because you're captioning a ton of cool stuff.

I never once got a raise.. they keep everyone at a base rate.. no room for real advancement.. job insecurity because they fire people indiscriminately. Awful company that used to be great.

There’s a lot of employee turnover. Management team has turnover. Caption Management is not effective. Captioning is being replaced by AI. They care more about growth than its employees.
