What are perks and other benefits like at the LEGO Group?

- 50% Lego discount, obviously - generous bonus considering it's a toy company - pretty casual office attire - work life balance pretty good

- no growth within teams unless someone leaves. - no ambition to grow talent internally so lose motivation quickly. - salaries are not competitive for the field at all - they are riding on the company name a lot with this. Please don't let them. - a lot of the tech is pretty fundamental so not much challenge past the first few months for newcomers. - a lot of management and direction changes the past few years I have no confidence it'll settle soon either. - just because the office looks fun and the product is a loved brand that people think is cool, it doesn't mean it's a good career move. - no one under VP level can talk at events (unless exceptionally agreed upon but I never heard of it happen outside of small lunch&learns once or twice) so hard to network and grow as a department within the industry. - felt like it put my career on hold all in all, absolutely do not recommend the internal tech department, other companies offer more interesting work, better salaries, better benefits (a lot is quite standard apart from the discount). - you can get on well with management as people, but never really saw much advocating for teams higher than that which stunts growth and recognition past your immediate teams. - a culture shock on my part I didn't enjoy and this may just be me, but I found the need for unanimous agreement for decision-making really hard, and suddenly decisions made on things when teams should have been consulted, e.g. the constant reorgs.

The projects are exciting, the benefits are great, and there’s flexibility for appointments and working hours. Colleagues are welcoming, and working at the Billund campus is a fantastic experience thanks to its extraordinary facilities.

Stressful fast returns, working under pressure of deadlines and delays (not caused by you). A lot of workload, which is overwhelming. Teams are expected and sometimes required to work over house (managers works in weekend or sends messages-mails at 11pm)

The salary is good for a student position. The company offers attractive benefits such as a Multisport card, meal vouchers, bonuses, and other incentives. My manager is very supportive and understanding. The position offers a good opportunity to gain professional experience while studying.

Career progression opportunities for student workers are limited. Moving to another position within the company can take time.

Very great workplace, lots of benefits and a trusting work environment. Colleagues are friendly there are a general atmosphere of trust and helpfulness when collaborating across functions.

Lots of silo structuring, initiatives can be almost impossible to implement across the siloes. Advancement and salary increases are slow and non-transparent. Cannot apply for positions that are two levels above your current position, which strangles any motivation for a career within the company.

Although every employee is equal to their peers, employees in the head quarters do seem to be more equal than others in terms of perks and job opportunities. Some career progressions do not seem justified by performance but rather based on networking.

- Great colleagues (not a merit of LEGO per se) - Good benefits, but also benefits are very skewed to favor Danish employees more than other countries, which is fine but just needs clarification - Managers/directors clearly, directly and blatantly meddling in the internal mobility process, favoring certain candidates over others, not based on skill and merits.

- Very stressful, depending on which side of the coin you are. Most people seem to have a great time, but also, don't really work on important projects or really, anything that returns value to the company. - Mediocrity is encouraged, don't stir the pot too much. Ambitious people get quickly shutdown by incompentent management. - Incompetent managers who use classic techniques such as gaslighting to keep people in their lane and complacent. Make you feel bad for wanting more, things like 'we have very high standards' - when history clearly disproves their point. Also... it's just a TOY COMPANY, it's not NASA.

Fun, open, inclusive work environment. A lot of days, it doesn't feel like work and more like an opportunity to be with great people and have fun along the way. Lots of nice initiatives set up by the Wellbeing Committee and the Fun Committee. Great new office in center of Berlin. Supportive team lead.

Due to the smaller department we belong to and now the added difficulties of having a work's council, I'm worried that maybe growth opportunities will be reduced for Berlin. We should be more aware of the negative image we are giving the office through complaining about the tiniest 'injustice'. Anyone who has experience in any other customer service center will know the pressure and stress to perform and do 10-15 contacts an hour, while we are expected to do 4... A few trouble-making colleagues who don't realize what a good situation we have in terms of working hours, pay, and other benefits. Anyone who rates the company one star has probably been fired for misconduct, so be aware of that.

The company has a globally respected brand and generally talented, passionate employees. There are opportunities to work on impactful products, and the culture emphasizes values, collaboration, and long term thinking. Compensation and benefits are competitive, and work life balance is usually respected.

In the engineering organization, decision making can feel influenced more by internal politics and visibility than by measurable contribution or technical impact. Feedback is often encouraged in theory, but in practice it does not always lead to meaningful change. Some leadership roles are held by individuals who lack strong people management skills, which can contribute to unhealthy dynamics within teams. Rapid company growth has outpaced management training and organizational clarity.
