I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Accelalpha (London, England) in Jun 2023
Interview
You have 3 1:1 interviews with the recruiter, learning director and your prospective line manager, then you have an assessment day two weeks later. At the assessment day, you have to partake in 2 group activities with team members being switched up for the 2 activities. The goal is to see if you can work in a team, with key monitored attributes being communication skills, empathy and listening, and problem solving skills.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
When was the last time you encountered a problem at work you could not solve, and what did you do to move the process along?
I secured the interview through a colleague with whom I had worked closely at a previous company. The interview process involved an initial screening call with a recruiter followed by 3 rounds of interviews with senior managers. First round with a functional manager. Second round with a technical manager to understand my technical background. Final round with a managing partner.
Overall, the process took about 2 weeks. However, they were not in the position to bring on additional consultants at the time and they communicated this to me. The process was very transparent. I received an offer about 6 months later.

Question 1
Why do you want to pursue consulting and why in this space?
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Accelalpha (London, England) in Feb 2025
Interview
Online meeting with recruiter, then online again with a manager. Final stage in person assessment centre where it is required you present, work on a team task, and undergo a final interview.
The interview process went through smoothly. Most of the questions asked were on aptitude and some SQL ones as well. Scenario based questions were also asked in the interview which were also pretty easy.
