      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Admiral Group (Swansea, Wales) in Sep 2025

      Interview

First a 10 minute telephone interview. Then a week later I had a meet and greet at the office, with about 15 other interviewees where we learned more about the company, did some icebreakers, shadowed staff working in the office and then had individual interviews at the end, 30 mins long.

      Interview

First you having a meeting with all the candidates and recruiting officer. The recruiting officer introduces themselves and explains more about Admiral and the benefits of working there. Then after the meeting, each candidate is taken to have an interview. There is more than 1 interview happening at the same time. The interview is held by two people, one is asking the questions and the other is noting them down. The interview itself was professional but really friendly.

      Interview

A really long process for you to not get the job at the end. You're there for 4 hours altogether, which means if you're working full time, you are required to take the day off work for it. It starts off they show you around the office, which i think is pretty pointless? Considering the job is not guaranteed. They say its for you to decide if you want the job or not, but it just makes no sense really. Then they explain a bit about the job, also stating that it would be better if we took notes, as they will be asking us questions about what they say in the interview. As if its a test. I also very quickly realised it is very different to what was advertised online. To be quite honest it sounded nothing like what was advertised. Then its a group interview? Again unbelievably pointless. They say its to "see how you work" but most people work they're best when settled. So I'm not sure how a group interview with 10 people who you've never met, knowing you're being watched the whole time, in a dead silent room with a bunch of other anxious people, will show how you work. I was also interviewed last, which meant I was just sat in a room with 2 random staff members, they were lovely. But I was sat around for nearly an hour, the whole thing seemed like a massive waste of time. Then the face to face interview, for some reason my interview room was not ready. So then they asked me if I wanted to do an interview in the middle of the of a full office, for everyone to hear. I assumed that's what they would've preferred rather than waiting, since they asked. But I thought that was a pretty crap situation to put me in. It made me incredibly uncomfortable and I could not get out of there fast enough.
