Interview
I was invited to an interview and told that they would make a decision within the next week and a half. A full week after that, they have failed to contact me, and have not responded to the follow up email I sent to their human resources.
They have, however, reposted the position, and added several thousand dollars to the top of the posted pay scale. Clearly I am not their first choice candidate, and I would imagine that they have raised the pay scale hoping to attract other applicants, as this position has been open for several months.
That is certainly their prerogative. However, I find it unprofessional that they did not get back to me when they said they would, then failed to respond to my email the week after. I would have far more respect for them if they simply called to explain that they weren't sure that I was the best fit for the position, so planned to keep the posting open.
