Interview went well the interviewer was nice. I ask the hiring manager if chosen how soon would I start and he said about 2 weeks. The day after my interview HR emailed me and said that my interview went really well but after the budget meeting that day they decided not to fill the position till 2 months. I asked if I should reapply she said, "No, your our top contender... I won't even post the position...I'll contact you as soon as I have the green light". As two months was approaching I emailed her to get an update and she said that they gave the position to someone else. I found that highly unprofessional because I passed up a similar paying job based off of her written word.
