I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at American Electric Power (Tulsa, OK) in Apr 2019
Interview
Received request for an interview via email to be conducted the next week. I was applying for a position in the Tulsa office, but the hiring supervisor is based in the Ohio office. I did not know this until the interview began. I was greeted in the lobby by an engineer on the team that the position was for, and he led me to a conference room. I was given a specific place to sit and saw two men on a screen that were located in OH. The hiring manager gave out introductions and explained that the interview would be half technical and half behavioral. I was asked a few of questions in the technical part of the interview that I did not fully understand, and answered the best I could or told them honestly I was not able to answer the question. The behavioral part of the interview was typical "tell me about a time when...". Once the interview was finished I felt that I would not be selected, but a few weeks later I was called to verify that I was still interested and received a job offer the next day.

Question 1
What is your understanding of routers vs switches?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at American Electric Power (Columbus, OH) in Apr 2023
Interview
The process involved two interviews, first was a panel style interview with 4 people, team members and leadership. This was like a traditional interview with questions asked for an answer in the STAR format, and time at the end for your own questions. The second was a meet and greet style interview involving many different team members. This was a much more casual style interview and did not feel stressful in whatever way possible. Time between hearing back from interviews was around 2 weeks.

Only 1 interview with a few members of engineering team. Straight forward interview, less of the personality questions (i.e. whats your strength) and more situational based questions. Learned about the position and how it applied to my experience.
