I received some really bad news just minutes before the meeting and wasn’t in the right headspace, but I didn’t want to cancel because I really needed the opportunity in this tough job market. As a result, I didn’t perform well and knew I likely wouldn’t move forward. After that, I never heard back—not even a thank-you note. I’m not sure why it’s become common practice for employers to ghost candidates. Other than that, it seems like a good place to work, just make sure you’re well prepared for the interviews.
