4 stages: Screening questions, practical task, skills based interview, presentation interview. Unusual not to have a screening call before the practical task, this was slightly discouraging as I hadn't spoken to anyone at Anthony Nolan before setting aside 2-3 hours to produce a task for them. The rest of the process was professionally conducted, the interviews were well structured and reflected the job spec closely.

Interview
Lovely team, great experience. Was asked to prepare a set of answers prior to interview. Nonetheless, some technical questions were made (i.e. Python, frontend tools). Overall, a great experience i must say.

Interview

Please prepare a 7-8 minute presentation outlining how you would approach the problem statement below. The remainder of the interview will be competency-based questions around Product, Business Analysis and your experience, with time for you to ask questions.
Problem statement:
At Anthony Nolan we currently run a number of discreet projects and some areas with more on-going software development streams. The primary focus is internal operations and b2b solutions along with fundraising and engagement/marketing solutions for b2c. We do not currently have a product structure or strategy in place.
We have a spread of requests from different stakeholders, some new features, new solutions, tech debt some poorly defined problem statements. As a charity we are more constrained by cost/resource than some commercial organisations.
What key steps would you take as our new Head of Product to help bring in product management approach where appropriate at Anthony Nolan? To help bound your answer, focus on your first 6-12 months.
As part of your presentation please explain what you believe are the key opportunities offered in using a product approach?
