Question 1
What experience do you possess that makes you an ideal fit for this role?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Architizer (New York, NY) in Dec 2016
Interview
I had an very positive interview experience at Architizer - one of the best hiring experiences I have ever had. I applied online through AngelList, got contacted within a few days for a phone screen with the VP of People Operations, had another phone screen with the hiring manager and a final interview round, where I met with the VP of Engineering, Head of Product and Product Lead. In addition, there was a pair-programming session with a fellow Software Engineer to gauge how well you would work in a team.
The whole process really fast and efficient despite the slow holiday season. I applied in early Dec and received an offer in mid-January the same week I had my final interview, which is super fast, even for a tech company. From my first contact with Architizer to the point when I received the offer (a warm, enthusiastic and beautifully-tailored email) and started, they really went the extra mile to make sure that I felt valued, respected and welcome the whole time (which I did!).
The best part was that a few days after I accepted the offer, I received a lovely surprise package with three books in it (one written by Marc Kushner, the CEO himself). On my first day, I was also pleasantly surprised to find a brand new laptop, a handwritten note with my name on it, an Architizer t-shirt, a moleskine notebook and a Lego architecture set waiting on my desk. I had such an amazing, thorough and organized onboarding experience with Architizer and can say that I am really happy with my decision to be part of this great group!
