The interview process began with a standard phone interview asking me about my experience etc. Afterwards, I was given a coding assessment challenge to complete within a 2 to 3 hour time period in a 48 hour time period. The challenge was a Ruby on Rails coding assignment prompting me to complete a laundry list of features and functionality to complete. I thought that the challenge was pretty straightforward and clear in its instructions.
After the first round challenge, a second round challenge followed where I worked collaboratively with two team members to further build out and refine functionality from the first round of challenge.
Finally, following the third round consisted of a meet and greet with various members of the company where I got to know what working at Assemble would potentially be like.
Overall, the process was very streamlined, clear, and direct. Looking back, I thought the challenge that I undertook at the time directly reflects what I'm working on on a day to day basis. I also appreciate the communication with my interviewers and liked that there were no 'gotchas' in the interview process.
