I was contacted by HR through ZipRecruiter after applying online. After an initial phone screening I was invited to interview in person. I attempted to find out more about this company online before going (my standard practice so I will know more about the company going in) and could not find much of anything. They have no functioning website and they changed their name from Axis Teknologies to AXS Mobility a couple of years ago. The office was dark, gloomy, and slightly nasty even though it was in a nice office complex in Sandy Springs. Most of the lights were turned off and there were people working in dark offices with empty cubicles everywhere in the middle. The conference room was a bit tattered and there was a dog bed in the corner with stuffing coming out. Three women interviewed me and they did not hesitate to speak poorly about the man I would potentially be replacing, and one of them said some of the vendors they deal with are "retarded" (yeah, that is NOT a word you use casually with strangers). I was taken aback by their shockingly casual and presumptive attitudes. It's obvious they do not have soft skills training at this company. In the end I was willing to accept this position if offered, but even though my experience lined up nicely with the job itself I was ghosted by the HR lady. I followed up with her twice and she never responded even though I could see where she viewed my messages. In the end I was shaking my head wondering what in the world these folks were about and kind of glad I did not get involved with them even though I needed the job. Unprofessional and dubious are the words I would use to describe them.
