First round with HR, then a few current associates, then the senior analyst, and finally with the director of research. Mostly through phone calls. Then did a modeling exercise and presentation of a stock pitch.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at B. Riley Financial (Arlington, VA) in Oct 2021
Interview
Three interviews with different members of the research team. Topics were very conversational, and the team was very friendly. Sometimes they apparently require a modeling test, depending on experience, but I didn't have to take it. I was able to share some writing samples that included models / analysis, which probably helped.
