Interview
Started off with an initial phone call with the recruiter. She went over the role and asked me questions about my resume and qualifications. She also told me the next step was a 30-minute video interview where I would be asked questions regarding soft skills, Excel, and possibly Python or SQL. She also mentioned the final interview would be a full case study working with Excel and possibly Python and SQL. The next interview was a video interview which included a case study in Excel, which I was not expecting until the third interview.

Interview
From what I understood after many rounds, the 'data' part of data solutions is just Excel warrioring. Which isn't entirely incorrect as technically, Excel is a data tool. But it doesn't seem to be a 'data job' that people understand these days. Personally, I got the sentiment that this is actually a position of 'what econ/biz majors think what data people do'.
The early rounds folks were really great and articulate. As it went on, I started getting the sense that they may not know what they want in this position. I think it is further evidenced by this position being up since December 2023 and it was still up in March 2024.
My process was solidly 2 months long and it was different from each reviewer that posted during my interview timeline. In fact, it was SO lengthy that I finished several processes and faced decision deadlines during the 'manager's manager's (...)' process commented by another person here.
It was a lot of Excel. Like a lot of problem solving with Excel. I recommend applying if you really enjoy Excel. I even asked some probing questions and always got the answer that they use a lot of Excel.
