TLDR: Even if you were part of a lay-off due to COVID-19 (like me), don't bother applying here. Better invest your energy and time in preparing for a better company in your own country. If you're a fresher or early in your carreer and 1500 USD per month sounds OK, go ahead.
The interview process was insane. I have 10 years of development experience and have been on the other side of interview for quite a long time. Never have I had such an interview experience - in the end it felt like I went through a scam. They mention they pick top 1% of the talent that applies to them, but I guess it's the other way round.
Round 1: Online test.
Required Assessments:
Problem Solving: 20 questions, 25 minutes
English: 18 questions, 18 minutes
Situational Questions: 19 questions, 30 minutes
Quick Backend: 1 questions, 15 minutes
Practical Skills: 20 questions, 25 minutes
Spoken English: 3 questions, 5 minutes
3-minute personality assessment: 1 questions, 10 minutes
Optional Assessments:
OOP, Perl, MS/SQL, Java, HTML, JS, SQL, Linux, jQuery, React, Angular 2.... And a lot more. These had ~10-15 questions each on average, to be solved in ~10-15 minutes.
Cleared round 1. Got a response in 2 weeks.
Round 2: Call with HR. She discussed few things and then asked some problem solving questions. Really weird. Next round scheduled in 2 days.
Round 3: Tech interview (half an hour). Interview finished in exactly 18 minutes. Some basic theoretical questions on OOP and stuff. Then few questions on the programming language I work in. All questions were straight out of Google, very basic.
Got a response in 2 days, saying they're still waiting to hear from tech round, but would like to make a tentative offer. They made an offer of 1500 USD per month, which was way less than my current CTC. Could not believe that this was happening to me. The only reason I went through this entire process despite the shadiness of the type of questions I saw in first round and the reason I applied to a company in Latin America was because I had been laid-off as part of COVID-19. Respectfully declined, but had to come here to warn others of this, and that's when I noticed so many others who have been offered 1500 USD.
One thing to note: Everyone I talked to was polite and courteous.
