      Spring Insight Week 2019 Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Barclays in Jan 2019

      Interview

The Barclays Spring Week application process first involved filling out some information on their website. Just basic information, criminal history etc. No questions or CVs needed. After submitting my info, I got a link to do a Hirevue video interview. This took about 30 minutes, involving around 10 questions. It was my first time doing a video interview, so I had watched videos online and read various glassdoor reviews beforehand. I would recommend dressing well (wear a suit and tie if you're a guy) and having good lighting. It also helped me to have post-its stuck to the top of my screen, near the camera, so that I could check my key points or things I wanted to mention at some point, without appearing to look away from the camera. Around three weeks after the interview, I was contacted and asked for a CV. A week later, I got an offer.

      Interview questions [3]

      Question 1

There was a paragraph giving you a scenario, where you had met a senior person in Barclays during your Spring Week and had spoken to them. You were then given a few minutes to write an email to them.

      Question 2

Most of the questions were scenarios of you doing the Spring Week, and you were asked how you would act in a given situation.

      Question 3
