      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Barclays (New York, NY) in Mar 2011

      Interview

Deceptive would be accurate, because they did not give a true picture of the high turnover of his place nor how cut throat and nasty it is. The place is a network of Lehman legacy people who are below average in capabilities, and reason for the 2008 financial crisis. So it's no wonder that this place has predatory hiring practices without full disclosure.

      Question 1

Where do you see yourself, in 1-3 years.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Barclays (Singapore) in Jul 2022

      Interview

All via phone due to lock down. three rounds with the first being an "interest check" by hiring manager. Next is with a team of people in the similar department, asking about questions relating to your experience for the role. Nothing out of the ordinary.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Barclays (London, England) in Aug 2011

      Interview

Interviews are somewhat incosistent accross the board and like in many companies it really depends who you get. It's quite important to find out who is the real decission maker. Frequently this will be the hiring manager (and also the first person you interview with apart from HR). If you can succeed with that interview almost everything else is a formality. I've been with the company for a few years and have seen the process from both sides.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The internal training for hiring is not great, so again it depends how much preparation and effort they put in. Sometimes people will ask "smart" questions, but they're usually easy to see through.
