Interview
Applied online for a job I was a great fit for and received a standard rejection email a couple months later. I contacted the recruiter, and he had no idea why I was rejected, so I was put back in the running. After a couple phone screens, I was invited for on-site for interviews. I had the standard 1-hour presentation followed by 1:1s. The whole process was smooth and pleasant, full of compliments about how my experience and skills are so ideal for the role, and a lot of what I said in the presentation fully resonated with them and Blue's needs. I left the interview feeling like I nailed it, and I was thrilled.
A couple weeks later, I got a rejection with no explanation. It was pretty devastating, and they weren't even willing to consider me for other roles. Huh? The recruiting process, outside of the on-site interviews, was rather botched.
Initial phone screen, followed by panel interview with presentation on work history and writing assignment. Common questions asked in panel setting. Ended with 1 on 1 interviews with each panelist.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Blue Origin (Merritt Island, FL) in Aug 2024
Interview
Introduction, small talk, very casual. Not very formal at all nor structured. Manager went out of his way to ensure I knew who he was. No indication in either a positive nor negative take on his perceptions.
The first round is a phone screen by HR and they walk you through the full process. Second round is with your manager/report(s). 3rd round is panel interview with presentation. 4th is final interviewer/review.
