    Corporate Trainer Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Pikesville, MD
    Declined Offer
    Positive Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Blue Shore Strategies (Pikesville, MD) in October 2015.

    Interview

I applied a week or so before I was contacted. Everyone was very professional. The interview itself was fairly simple, but I felt that they wanted to get to know me more first before delving into other things in terms of the job. This was refreshing change. I did find the questions about my previous work experience moderately difficult because I felt like like my answers did not fit what they were looking for.

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Blue Shore Strategies (Pikesville, MD) in May 2017.

    Interview

This is definitely one of those scam marketing out there. I went to the interview and I filled out a separate application almost (like most people have previously said). The interview is really simple, they ask you bizarre questions and talk to you about "leadership" and "team building" and how someone can get promoted in a short amount of time. All of that was definitely a red flag to me. If I have zero experience I should not be able to get promoted so fast. Their website is crap, it gives you no information on the job. The website also says that they do not participate in "door to door" sales, which is really funny because instead of "door to door" you stand in people's faces in stores. The pay is extremely low for the work you will be doing. Also there is no compensation for gas and you are never in the office. I learned all of this from previous employees as well as from my interview. Do not fall for this company's scheme!!!! Do not apply for a job here.

They did not disclose until I got there that it was entry level and they wanted people to work 40 hrs a week on the floor at home depot, 6 days a week. I have 20+ years of experience, it was like they didn't even look at my resume.

    Interview

Do not apply for this place. They are not as they seem. They will advertise an entry level sales position with an hourly pay with uncapped commission, but they are lying to you. You will be standing in a store for 12 hours at a time making nothing but commission and being forced to work 60 hours plus per week with no overtime. They are a scam. Look up DS/Max or Cydcor and you will see what these people are like. They promise the world, give you a pebble, and take all of the dirt from your nice potted plants.

They bring you in for an initial interview to see if you want to make commitments and see how you react to the standard HR screening questions. Then they'll hype the position up and tell you about the track of the position. They'll most likely bring you back for a second interview to discuss the actual starting position which is not management at all.

    Interview

It was a 2 day interview process that was a bit intimidating but really helpful. Went through my resume I was told some negitives and positives what a learning experience. For both days the company was explained to me and it was a team of people who were motivated, excited and they look like they had fun doing what they were doing. I wasn't offered a position right away but when I did receive an offer I was excited. The company works with a few clients really large names vs some other companies who work with companies I've never heard of. Overall the experience was great!

I applied online and got a call to come in for an interview right away. I arrived early but had to wait 25 min to be seen. I got a call back the same day for a second round interview. I talked with another account executive who was very friendly and explained the job in detail. My problem was that I didn't want a sales job.

    Event Coordinator Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Blue Shore Strategies (Pikesville, MD) in June 2015.

    Interview

The interview process took about 5 days for me. I was currently working still so it was hard for me to get back there for a 2nd round interview. However when I initially got there I was greeted very nicely by the admin. I filled out a form and attach my resume. I waited for about 10 minutes they seemed to be busy. The manager I met with was nice, he told be about the company and asked me about myself. After about 20 minutes of talking of my past work experiences and what I'm looking for now; he invited me back for a Day of Observation. The next week, I shadowed one of their account managers she was nice and seemed really excited about her job. You definitely don't see young people excited about where they worked. When I came back to the office I spoke with the first manager from the 1st round interview and received an offer. I told him I needed to give a 2 weeks notice and he was very understanding.
