When I came in for the interview it wasn't long before I was met by a huge dog while filling out the paperwork they gave me in the lobby. The paperwork was annoyingly long and they pretty much had me rewrite my resume. Shortly after freaking out because of this huge dog coming out of nowhere, I was called to the back for my interview. The woman who did my interview was pleasant. She was worried about my fear of dogs but I assured her it wouldn't be a problem . It was a one on one interview which I appreciated not feeling attacked. During the interview she mentioned to me that the role was actually a supervisor role and not just an analyst position like what i'd applied for. She told me she expected me to be there between 15-30 minutes early daily to keep track of when the other team members were coming in and I was expected to work until at least 5:30 or "until my job is done". Now, the role I applied for was a Business Development Analyst but she said the role was actually a Sales Coordinator. On the paperwork I had filled out in the lobby I put down a certain salary that was a fit for the role I had applied for, not for a manager position, but I assumed they would compensate for the extra managerial duties. Monday morning I was offered the position with the same salary I put down for the analyst position I'd applied for. There were no accommodations made for the supervisor duties and added tasks (I know how to code and she mentioned me helping to create queries with IT which isn't in the job description), and when I asked about negotiating the salary due to this not being what I thought it was she started acting as if it wasn't a manager position even though she said that it was in the face to face interview. She told me no and that she "wanted to stick to what I said". Very disappointed. I ended up turning down the role due to the extremely low ball salary and just feeling tricked.
