This company advertises jobs under the name BriteCore, by the way.
- Coding Test (Full-stack solution, which includes a REST API back-end and a Javascript front-end).
- Group Video Interview.
Really disappointed at these guys. I applied online and shortly after I was invited to complete a coding test.
I spent quite a bit of time crafting a professional solution using TDD, creating proper documentation, and even deploying to AWS.
Soon after I submitted my solution, they replied with positive feedback: "You did a really good job on it."
I was then invited to a Skype conference with multiple people (other developers, QA engineers, and even a UX Designer). It was a bit exhausting talking to so many people at once (also it was already late in the day where I live and I was tired), but I'm pretty sure I answered every single one of their questions with honesty and depth.
I even sent an email next day thanking them for having me for the interview and complimenting the process and the people that took part in the interview.
After all my hard work, they didn't even bother to give me any feedback. I didn't hear back from them after the interview.
I was super polite during the whole process. My English is really good (if you forgive me for my lack of modesty). I passed the IELTS exam (academic and basic) several times. I've been living in English speaking countries for the past 8 years. The last compliment I got on my English (from a native speaker) was "Your English is perfect!".
I would bet my life that they don't get coding test submissions as good as mine very often. I put a lot of hard work on it.
Not sure what happened. I think I deserved at least an e-mail with some feedback.
It's not like I'm some unskilled, unarticulate guy speaking broken English that wasted their time. :(
