I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bunnings Warehouse
Interview
You have a phone interview, group interview and individual interview. It is a lot but once you're through it is a great place to work, and they keep you very updated throughout the process.

Interview process was good but I did not hear back from them, unfortunate considering the interview felt like it flowed well. I would have appreciated at least an answer or some feedback.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bunnings Warehouse (Wollongong) in Jan 2026
Interview
This review covers the process to get to the in person interview by a store manager. I found it very impersonal.
Applied via a jobs site. Within a few days was asked to complete 5 questions online covering my work experience two questions being how I would handle some generic customer service matters and how I interact in a diverse work team in an fast paced environment.
A couple of hours after that I was asked to do a 2 minute maximum “one way” interview where I spoke to my camera and responded to two questions. One about why I am suitable for the job and my availability to begin and hours avail to work. Rehashing my resume, job application and the questions I answered previously! After about 10 days I was emailed that I wouldn’t be progressing further.
Curious to get some feedback as to why and learn as to what I can improve on to go further I followed the contact advice on the email only get a “not found” error. No other contact was given.
Bunnings kindly included a “personality assessment” with this email. I assume generated from my resume and interview responses. Some of it was accurate but most of it way off the mark. A generic ChatGPT or similar platform process. Cheap and cheerful.
So, my thoughts to get to an in person interview the process is fully automated, most likely a company policy.
I also feel that your performance in a 2 minute blind interview, where the questions asked have been answered previously, is heavily weighted in the assessment. Perhaps your presentation, age, how you sell yourself is being assessed by automation ( Bunnings says that these are revised in person)
A friend who works at Bunnings said don’t give up, keep applying and you may get there.
