This is my worst interview by far. I was scheduled to have an interview/exam at BusinessWorld and I believe I needed to share this just in case some of you guys are planning to apply there.
To start off, most of the questions asked in the exam were all too personal and unprofessional. Some of which included:
- Your SEX life
- How you feel about unshaved men
- Women are weak (then asked me to give a reason about it)
- What do you think your friends say behind your back?
- If there is something my family couldn't give and how they usually treat me.
There were countless more unnecessary questions which I believe had nothing to do with the position I applied for. I was also made to answer 100 math questions IN 6 MINUTES. At first I thought the hiring manager was kidding, but it turns out she was serious. And why would there even be math questions in an exam for writer position in the first place? I addition to that, you weren’t allowed to use scratch papers or calculators for solutions.
There were also personal questions that I didn't even feel the need to discuss about in my resume. I never felt more uncomfortable than I've ever been with a job interview.
Questions like these are too personal and very unprofessional. It could make or break someone's integrity.
Not to mention that the "exam" went for six hours and then after the exam, the HR asked if I could proceed with the "actual" interview, which by that point I was too drained to even think straight. On top of that, I'm from Batangas and I had to travel all the way to Quezon City just to experience that.
