I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at C3 AI (Redwood City, CA) in Jun 2020
Interview
Very professional process. The recruiter I was in contact with was communicative and quick to respond after each step. There are a lot of rounds, but this allows you to get to know the company and the position well. They are also very upfront about the process and the upcoming rounds. My process was:
- initial phone screen
- hackerrank coding challenge
- 2 rounds of coding technicals (algorithmic, leetcode-ish)
- 1 design-type technical (OOP)
- conversations with the FDE manager, VP of Global Services and Customer Success, and CPO
Final rounds were all very conversational, mostly allowing me to ask questions about the company and ensuring a mutual fit, which I really appreciated. Overall it was a really positive experience.

Interview
In the screening interview, the engineer taking the interview was really rude. He started flaming my Uni out of random, indicating that most of the graduates were from "Stanford/Berkeley", then started to flame my experiences. I don't think, I was asked one question which was relevant to my experience or the role.

Interview
The process was pretty standard. I received a Hackerrank OA followed by a hiring manager round. Another leetcode style and system design round followed by a final behavioural round. All the feedback was positive but after the last round, the manager called me and said they were going in a different direction and said he twasn't allowed to give any feedback.

Interview
1:1 30mins screen with a FDE
The interviewer is nice. Asked a lot a lot technical details in my resume. And then asked a few bahavioural questions.
"do you have any questions for me? " he kept recording my performance on his side, and asking me to keep asking him questions. I ended up asking 7-8 questions, which I felt that was a little bit out of expectation. At the end, he said I might receive the next step interview from the HR in the next few days. However after 3 weeks I got a rej letter which said their org is changing hiring priority now.
