Extremely long and drawn out process. Internal recruiting is not very organized, and I had to switch between 2-3 recruiters before starting. I will give C3 the benefit of the doubt since this was during COVID-19 but my experience was overwhelming negative given how long and convoluted their process is. In addition to the online application, you will be required to fill out a survey, which is more like an essay, about your level of understanding within their domain. Then you have a non-technical phone screen with one of their engineers, followed by a Hackerrank test. The questions are not very difficult, but the time limit is not very reasonable. After the Hackerrank you have 3 technical phone interviews with fairly standard questions. Finally there is a hiring manager and VP screen. This is more of an opportunity for you to learn about the company. Overall a very long and drawn out process with little to no communication. I waited a month after the last interview before they replied with a generic rejection email. While everyone I talked to was very smart, they seemed very tired and burnt out, not very engaged or interested. I'm not sure if they are even hiring at the moment, but I felt like C3.ai wasted 2-3 months of my time interviewing for a role they are not filling.

In the screening interview, the engineer taking the interview was really rude. He started flaming my Uni out of random, indicating that most of the graduates were from "Stanford/Berkeley", then started to flame my experiences. I don't think, I was asked one question which was relevant to my experience or the role.
