I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at CBS News and Stations in Jan 2025
Interview
First round was a phone screening with the recruiter, and they asked very basic questions to make sure you qualify. The second round was an interview with 4 members of the department you will be working with, and it lasted 30 mins.
Quick and straightforward. Some questions weren’t aimed at experience or interest in the internship but seemed instead to gauge news judgement and aptitude. I didn’t know which department I’d be assigned to if I got the internship, so prepared for a more genera conversation.
