I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cardiff University (Cardiff, Wales) in Jul 2024
Interview
Competency-based. Asked lots of questions about my education and background. It was 30 years ago, so I don't remember that much. I guess most of the people who interviewed me are retired now. Hopefully, it will be so.
Relatively easy process if you know your research area. Standard questions asked about your qualifications, skills and experiences. It was a really positive experience overall and a supportive environment to be part of.
The interview process was well structured and a time line provided in advance. The interview was conducted by 4 senior scientists of the division and provided feedback afterwards
The process was fair and I have nothing to complain
