The application process was simple enough and the recruiter called me during our arranged time for our interview after I had emailed my resume to her a day prior. No other information was collected beforehand.

The first question from the recruiter was about salary. When told that I would need to learn some more about the position the recruiter continued to press and said we needed to discuss salary now to see if the position was even worth my time.
