I live at a distance to the Lewisberry location, which I knew going in. It sounded like an opportunity I was interested in. So after I applied online and was invited down for an interview on 11/13/24, that's when thing got kind of weird.
Upon first entering the parking lot, it took me while to park but after I entered the building is when it got weird. Some guy from the floor who could barely speak English was able to direct me to the office where they handle interviews/job fairs. Upon entering this office, two people in the whole room and I barely got a greeting. I had to ask where I was supposed to go after I signed in.
After sitting down for a few minutes, I was eventually summoned over to a male representative of the company where he started asking me questions. Now to some extend I was prepared to answer any question given to me, but this guy decided to almost neglect my resume that was right in front of him explaining my work history.
This is where the turning point essentially began, after I was asked about my work history, my intentions for Chewy, salary expectation, what I did at my current employer. So after it all, the man interviewing me started acting weird like he wasn't expecting it to take some time. Then upon being asked when I would be available to start, I said I would give my current employer a two week notice. Well, that's when this man started to cringe and almost laugh nervously. I knew something was up. Nonetheless, we ended things with a simple hand shake upon the man informing me that I would likely get an offer in about two days.
Well, low and behold, I received a letter all right, a rejection letter saying they were looking for more experienced people? Like WTF seriously? How hard could it be to learn a position like that? I feel like this place takes nothing seriously and wastes a lot of peoples time. Not like they didn't know what they were going to do. Simply a disgusting act of professionalism! Never again with this place!
