I applied to Chuck E. Cheese's online. About a week later I called the store and the general manager answered and suggested I attend a group interview which was the following week. Great. So the following week I arrive at the Chuck E. Cheese's 30 minutesand one of the cast members/associates greets me. he directs me to the party room. As I stride to the room I see roughly twenty other people ahead of me. I took a seat., By the time It hit about five, when the interview was suppose to start, there were 45 people in the open interview.
As the Interview began, we had to fill out these questionnaires--Make sure you bring a pen, it's a part of the 'uniform'. After the questionnaires the group was divided into two, one half got a tour of the store, and the other introduced their selves. The groups would interchange after both sessions were completed.
On the tour, the sale associates showed us around the Chuck E. Cheese's, though there wasn't much to show. Here, we had the opportunity to ask questions, learn about the different responsibilities of the cast members and game technician. Make sure you ask good questions and stand out because it will come in handy later.
After we finished the tour, we got the opportunity to introduce ourselves. It was only twenty people since the groups were divided. The gerneral manager asked the following:
Name?
Why Chuck E. Cheese's?
What is one adjective that describes yourself?
What was one instance you went above and beyond.
Here's a note, especially to the guys: Do not say you're doing it because you love kids. The manager said specifically, after everyone introduced their self, that it is about the parents, because those are the people that decide whether or not to return.
After the session, there is another question and answer. Again, make yourself stand out.
After this, the general manager said that if she and her crew were interested, they would give us a call backwithin seven days.
The whole process lasted 2.5 hours.
