The interview process was great. I hate it when interviewers don't get back. Not the case here. The interviewer got back the next day. Suffice to say I was impressed with that by itself.

    Mid-senior Level Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Spokane, WA

    Negative Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through other source. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Clearwater Paper (Spokane, WA).

    Interview

The interview process too approximately eight weeks. It started with two phone screenings, meeting at the particular facility I applied for with site management and all first shift employees, and corporate headquarters with approximately 10-15 different people with last minute changes.

    Interview Questions

    • The interview process took eight weeks. I was phone screened by senior level employees, sent to the site facility, where I met all leadership and first shift employees. I was then sent to corporate headquarters where I interviewed for an entire day with many different senior-level management. I was given a schedule that changed because they couldn't be organized enough. I was than thrown with people I didn't even get a chance to know who or what part of the organization they were in. The entire interview process you were left in the dark for days on end, you were told one thing and then judged on another. Ultimately I was turned down for the position because I didn't have enough experience in a particular subject that wasn't even in the job description to begin with. When you miss four days of work to be drug around the country and be told you're not qualified because two out of hundreds of people whom you've met said you weren't good enough on a particular skill that wasn't disclosed in the job description it's not worth the company.

Immediately after I was turned down and not offered the position, the Job description immediately changed to reflect that new skillset. Don't waste your time. If one or two people are going to throw a candidacy out the window out of all the people you met, you are set up to fail.   Answer Question

    Process Engineer Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Neenah, WI
    Accepted Offer
    Neutral Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Clearwater Paper (Neenah, WI) in February 2016.

    Interview

Short, 20 minute phone interview, then a 4-hr multi-person on-site interview. Seemed like overkill, and very obvious they wanted to fill the spot as fast as possible. Every single person said there was "low hanging fruit" available at the job and no one had a very solid answer on what they thought their favorite part of the job was. Did a rushed plant tour and was on my way.
