I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Clinton Health Access Initiative (Kigali) in Apr 2025
Interview
The recruitment process contained 5 stages, i.e. HR screening, 1 assessment and 3 rounds of interviews with individual staff within the program. I completed 4 of the stages but was ghosted by the time for the last interview. All 3 interviews I had took roughly 1 hour and the assessment took way more than the 3 hours that they estimated (unpaid time). Overall, the process was unnecessarily lengthy and it would have been helpful if the interviews were just done a panel with all the respective recruitment team present.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Besides the typical interview questions of 'why the position' and 'why you', most other questions were mainly behavioral assessments
First round: ~20 min call with HR to discuss my background in alignment with the role
Second round: Technical/written assignment.
Third round: Interview with the hiring/position’s manager
Fourth round: Interview with another team member from a different office that had been in the same role as the position I applied.
Rounds 1-3 took place over the course of a month. They didn’t contact me for an additional month for round 4 because they were pursuing the top candidate during that time. By the time I had my 4th interview, the other candidate officially accepted the offer.

Question 1
They look for solid examples of how you can problem-solve. Adaptability was important to highlight.
First interview was smooth and is the basic interview type to understand candidate fit.
Second step was a case study which was difficult. one has to do data analysis, write a memo and make a powerpoint presentation based on the case study provided.
The company conducted interviews followed by case study. The Interviews were behavioural as well as basic case based. Case needed awareness and some preparation about the sector in which the position exists.
