Very poor experience. was referred through a colleague and spoke with their CEO as the position would be supporting him. Interview was short, more of just a conversation, asked me to speak with someone in People & Culture and we would reconnect in another follow-up meeting.
The following week, I completed a short 1-way video interview where I was asked 4 questions, that would then be reviewed by HR. I also completed an email copy writing assignment. CEO never showed up for second meeting and ghosted me. I was then passed down the chain to multiple departments through auto-gen emails.
People & Culture thought I'd be a better fit for Event Manager, and she would speak with someone in Partnership Marketing. I had that quick call another week later, but the gentleman was confused as to why he was on the call or that he was even interviewing me. So he spoke to me about what an Event Manager does. Which was strange considering my background.
Another 2 weeks of silence, no answer to any of my emails. I emailed HR too, no answer. I sat on their Virtual Career Fair webinar. Then I received a scheduling link from an auto-gen email to interview with the hiring manager in Marketing. I took his first availability at 12am (PT) and expressed my excitement to speak with him. Great conversation, spent an hour on the call, but he was unable to answer some of my questions directly regarding interview process and said I would need to go through another 3 or 4 interview rounds before they could come to a decision. Sent over my 'Thank You' email along with my portfolio and later that day received another auto-gen email rejecting me as a candidate.
I love this company's product and the space in which they operate, but that interview experience was probably the worst. I was definitely strung along. No north star to walk candidates through the process. Poor communication, inhuman experience, despite the values and culture that is boasted.
