I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Cloudbeds
Interview
Technical Interview was solid and offered good insight to the types of problems they were facing. Good hybrid architecture, and technical depth from interviewers was apparent. They were very easy to talk to and I think they'd be great to work with.
I interviewed at Cloudbeds (San Diego, CA) in Dec 2019
Interview
Only got a brief conversation with a screener, who was poor to communicate and follow up with, she didn't ask many questions. It seems she tries to put forward as many possible candidates as possible and overwhelms the hiring manager. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to interview, and really feel short changed here as I'm sure the people they ended up interviewing weren't as smart, qualified, or had the industry experience I do. Oh well, that's their lose. My advise to management would be to be more open minded on the people you select to interview.

Question 1
What salary are you looking for? Do you like working remotely?
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Cloudbeds in Mar 2018
Interview
After applying received an email saying that if you are lucky, a ONE WAY video interview will follow. first I wasn't sure if I they are joking or if this a casting for an adult movie.
To the benefit of the company, they sent an automated no thank you email later, which companies usually don't do if you don't pass the application stage.
Cloudbeds believes in #remotefirst and encourages our teams to travel and work as digital nomads. As such, we use technology to hire the best candidates wherever they are in the world. We use video interviews during our hiring process because we find that it helps us select the right candidates and is more time efficient for both the applicant and the hiring manager.
