This interview process was very disappointing to me as I was very excited about getting the opportunity to apply for this company. I easily passed the technical phone screening and the technical video screening. After these I was told by the recruiter the next steps were a quick Q+A call with a higher up in engineering for me to ask questions about the job, and a 5-6 hour on-site interview. The Q+A call mainly consisted of the higher up telling me about Coinbase plus a few questions I had. I thought the call went well as we had a good conversation about multiple things and he seemed very engaging, however I was surprised to find out that the person interviewing me at this stage had only been at the company around 3 months. I never received a response about the on-site and about a week later was denied which I felt was absolutely ridiculous. I am still confused as to what happened because I was only asked two questions throughout the whole call. Both of the questions came with about one minute left on the call and I was told to sum up my answers within the minute. I had also previously been talked to as if I had passed the phone screening stage and made it to the on-site stage. My advice to anyone going through this interview who is at this stage is focus your conversation to be about how much of a fan you are for Coinbase and how excited you are about the future of crypto currency.

OA: build a web app. whole process broken into 4 sections, you need to make unit tests for current section pass to proceed to next. Final rounds: behavior, frontend coding, system design. Managed to complete all coding related tasks, and answered all system design questions. Behavior round is a bit strange, not getting much follow up questions after I've made initial response.
