I went through an extensive interview process with this organization, spanning 8 weeks, and even declined another offer because I was excited about this role. After receiving a verbal offer, I disclosed that I have a service animal. Shortly afterward, the offer was rescinded, and I was told the role was no longer a fit despite being told how excited the team was when I received the verbal offer. The abrupt change and lack of clear communication were confusing, disappointing, and discriminating.
