After receiving the offer letter, I began asking questions to make sure that I'd also be able to continue to participate in professional development opportunities that were extremely relevant to the role and to the industry. Upon inquiring, my offer was quickly rescinded. Reasoning: "working for a large credit union doesn't seem to be motivation enough for you". How discouraging.
